But I also had another wake up call in 2006.  My mom was diagnosed with cancer.  She had already had 2 heart attacks before she turned 50 years old.  My dad, that same year had a 6 bypass surgery( I didnt even know that was possible).  So i realized real quick that I needed to change my ways…..I have 4 kids for godness sakes, and a beautiful wife that absolutly adores me!

So I started to research the fastest ways to get in shape and lose weight.  I spent lots of hours online, I bought books, and even worked with some other trainers just to find the right formula for overall fitness and fat loss.  I have spent the last few years in the trenches studying and trying all kinds of different weight loss methods.  Now I get to live my passion and share it with other people, and you dont have to waste a bunch of time and money on fad diets and gadgets that only make your pocketbook smaller.

Training Sessions:

5 Diet Tips for Fat Loss: Part 4

Chad here and back again with part 4 of the 5 part series.  We are getting closer to the end!
 
You are going to get all bent out of shape now, because I am giving you this tip after Thanksgiving!
 
I promise you I did it on purpose because I didn’t want you to just read the tip and not the explanation behind it.  You may have gone crazy other wise.
 
This is the tip that always throws clients for a loop.    You need to eat more!
 
What I mean by eat more isnt eat way more food in a day than you should, but rather eat all throughout the day.  Again keep reading!
 
Every time you eat you will see a boost in your metabolism and we all know that a high metabolism is the key to weight loss.
 
A good rule of thumb is to eat 5 to 6 small meals a day…about  2 1/2 hours to 3 1/2 hours apart.  This will help keep your metabolism up all day long.
 
A secondary benefit to this is it will totally help you make better food choices.   If you have ever been in that situation where you let yourself get so hungry, that you don’t care what you ea,t then you take the easiest and fastest thin available to you, like vending machine, quick stop, drive thru where all that fried stuff is that I talked about in part 3 of this series. 
 
If you have a plan and know exactly what you are eating and when you are eating it then making good food choices  every 3 hours is a piece of Protein! (haha…. I say that instead of what most people say “a piece of cake”

 
The ideas is to never be starving and never be stuffed (except on thanksgiving). 
 
So try eating smaller portions every 3 hours or so of good high quality fresh food.  I promise it will go along ways in helping you reach your fitness goals
