A few days ago I said I was gonna hook someone up with a FREE MONTH OF PEROSNAL TRAINING AT FIT-WERKS.
Almost 15 people applied by commenting why they thought they should be the one to win the “hook up”.
There were so many obvious winners…
Truthfully it could have been a fifteen-way tie. But since I could only pick one winner for the hook up… the pressure was on.
In fact Alex and I read through all the comments several times. And each time I came to the conclusion that there were at least 15 winners.
This was going to be a hard decision to make…
But in the end, one person’s reason for winning the Free Personal Training hook up stood out the most to us.
So without further ado, the person who won the Free Training is……

Here is the Deal. We had such a hard time picking just on winner that we decided to make a crazy offer to just 4 of you. We are going to offer a Buy-one, Get-one month.
So in other words. 12 personal training sessions is normally $480 (that is $40 a session). We are going to double that. If you are one of the first 4 to email me at fitwerks@aol.com you will get 24 sessions for $480. That comes out to only $20 per session. That is Ridiculous, but how would you have liked to have been in our shoes and having to pick just one winner after reading all of those great post. So we felt that this was the only fair way to do it.(besides can you imagine how far you can come to reaching your goals with 24 personal training sessions)

Letter From Your Belly Fat

How’s it goin’! This is a letter from your ol’ pal, Belly Fat.
We had a great run this winter, didn’t we? Lots of good times, great food, and plain ol’ sitting around eating too much.
Well, I’m thinking about sticking around another year if you don’t mind. But you might need to get a bigger pair of pants, as I was thinking about expanding my place down here.
So do me a favor, avoid that interval training you were thinking of doing. The last time you did that stuff, I nearly had to look for a new place to live. I felt like the Wicked Witch of the West in the land of Oz.
Did you hear me yelling, “Help me, I’m melting!”?
Instead, stick to that slow cardio stuff. Sure I get a little sweaty, and the ol’ brain up there thinks it’s doing “a real fat
burning workout”, but it’s never enough to melt me outta here.
Another thing, keep listening to those experts who say strength training doesn’t burn body fat. Since research shows they’re wrong, if you added strength training to your program, you’d practically need to throw me a going away party!
After each one of those superset workouts you tried last January it felt like someone lit a match under our collective butt. I was burning up down here!
But boy oh boy, I sure was glad you gave that up and went back to just lifting utensils and not dumbells. Otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to celebrate another summer together this year.
Sometimes I wonder, what did you ever do in college without me, your trusted belly fat? Back then, you were probably one of those people that couldn’t wait to get to the beach to show off your body, unlike these days.
Nope, stay in the shade and keep the cover-up clothes on, that’s the way to go now. Besides, its a lot closer to the cold beer and the BBQ when you’re sitting in the shade avoiding all the fun down on the beach.
Well, it sure was good catching up with you. I’m sure we’ll be in touch more often, as long as you stay away from that Fit-Werks Personal Training and Fit Body Boot Camp routine.
Brings a tear to my eye whenever I even think about that workout program and all the belly fat it’s burned. Heck, it’s fried more fat than a short order cook at a roadside truckstop.
So again, if you want to keep your dear old belly around for another year and another summer, do NOT use Fit-Werks Personal Training and Fit Body Boot Camp - otherwise, its all over pal, and you’ll never see me again.

Don’t go near that Fit-Werks personal Training and Fit Body Boot Camp program unless you want to see me, Thunder Thighs, Manboobs, Jigg Lee Arm Fat, and Luv Handles pack our bags and hit the highway.
It will be a sad farewell, and you’d be stuck with ripped abs, gorgeous glutes, and toned arms, and you know how much attention those guys get from the opposite sex. Who needs it, I say.
Watch out for Crabs!!

Have you ever seen a bucket full of crabs? They pinch and pull as they struggle to climb over one another to reach the top of the bucket – to freedom.
Ask any fisherman and they’ll tell you that a bucket full of crabs doesn’t need a lid – they simply won’t escape.
Why? Well, it’s not impossible for a crab to climb to the top, and really if they worked together it would be quite easy. But crabs don’t work together…
Instinctively crabs pull each other down-literally.
When one crab breaks away from the pack, reaching its pinchers toward the top of the bucket, the others promptly grab onto the escapee’s leg, pulling him back down. That crab is then pushed to the bottom of the pile and his dream of freedom is crushed.
People have a way of acting just like a bucket of crabs. Have you ever decided on a personal goal only to have someone in your life talk you out of it?
Do you have crabs in your life? A crab is…
- The person who discourages you from going to the gym
- The person who scoffs when you mention your weight loss goals
- The person who snickers when you choose salad over pizza
The crab mentality says “If I can’t have it, then neither can you.” When you decide to do something different, to reach for a goal and to improve yourself, the crabs in your life will do their best to hold you back.
Keep Crabs at Bay: When crabs come snapping, remember the following:![]()
- Ignore them: When someone in your life begins to pull you down with discouraging words, remember that you don’t have to listen. Don’t let them get into your head. Mentally tune them out or politely remove yourself from the situation. Who are they to tell you what you can or can’t achieve?
- Understand them: Ouch! Insults and put-downs hurt, especially when they come from people that we care about. So what is the deal? Why do your friends, co-workers and even your spouse turn into crabs when you decide to improve your life? Do they really hope that you don’t succeed? The truth is that crabs are thinking about themselves-not about you. They see you attempting to better yourself and to change your life. Whether they realize it or not, this scares them. If you better yourself will you still like them? Or will you leave them behind?
- You hold the power: Even the most persuasive crab doesn’t hold a candle to your iron will. When you are ready to change, and you’ve made up your mind without an inkling of doubt, then 90% of the work is done. Your mind is the most powerful tool at your disposal-don’t let a wimpy crab rob it from you.

I’m a 24 year old student nurse and every week I see a patient that is sick, and if they could have just ate a little better ,exercised a bit more, or stopped smoking, most of them could have added years onto their life. I never realized the impact that eating healthy and exercising could make on a person’s life until I started nursing school and I saw the physical and emotional toll it takes on a life. I don’t want to be that patient cooped up on a hospital bed, and some nurse is taking care of me, well before it’s my time to go. In addition to that, I have a beautiful 18 month old daughter, Isabelle, who is my world! I need to be here for her as long as I can, and I know that will not happen unless I make some changes. I also want to be able to teach her how to live healthy so she can pass it on to her children as well. So this is why I need your help! I live a busy life, and I can name off the same excuses as the next person as to why I don’t exercise enough or eat better but we both know that would be a waste of your time and mine. I need to lose about 50lbs in order to be at a healthy weight, it’s a weight I haven’t seen in many years, and would love to be reunited with it. I can only imagine the happiness and self confidence that could be gained from accomplishing this goal.
